nLube™ is a nano-lubricant specifically developed to overcome common torque- and drag-related problems encountered in horizontal and extended reach drilling in high-temperature reservoirs. It provides effective lubrication in all types of water- and brine-based drilling fluids. Field usage shows up to 30% increase in average ROP.
nLube™– How It Works
nLube™ has treated more than 120 wells in the Bakken formation of North Dakota, showing ROP increases of 15%, lubricant usage reduction of 30% and laterals drilled up to 20% faster all leading to lower NPT.

nLube™ contains nanoparticles that coat metal surfaces and fill in asperities creating a smooth tribo-film capable of drastically reducing Coefficient of Friction and wear.

nLube™ is a product of two years of extensive product development, both in the lab and the field. It routinely outperforms other competitors in a variety of tribology tests and does not cause foaming or ‘cheesing’ often seen with other products. nLube™ is fully bio-compatible and bio-degradable, and tolerates high salinity and temperatures up to 150 °C (300 °F).
